Rep. Jonathon Hill to Denounce Senator Lindsey Graham
for Holding “Red Flag” Law Hearings

Press Conference with NAGR President Dudley Brown

ANDERSON, S.C.—On Monday, March 25, District 8 State Representative Jonathon Hill (R-Anderson) and National Association for Gun Rights President Dudley Brown will be in Greenville to hold a press conference to denounce Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and his support for “red flag” gun confiscation legislation.

Sen. Graham, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, stated that his committee would hold hearings on “red flag” gun confiscation legislation.

In response, Rep. Jonathon Hill stated, “I don’t normally get involved in Federal issues, but while I’m fighting to protect your right to carry in South Carolina, Senator Lindsay Graham is undermining our efforts by pushing for a national “red flag” law.”

“Red flag” gun confiscation schemes, also known as “Extreme Risk Protection Orders,” are egregious violations of the right to self-defense and the right to due process. Senator Graham is advancing legislation that represents an un-American departure from the idea that you are “innocent until proven guilty.” Bottom line—it treats innocent citizens like dangerous criminals.

“Swamp creatures, like Sen. Graham, tend to go where the political winds blow, so I’m working with my friend Dudley Brown at the National Association for Gun Rights to make some wind! Senator Graham needs to know that he will pay a high political price for crossing South Carolina gun owners with the ‘red flag’ law,” Hill said.

The event details are as follows:

When: Monday, March 25th at 5pm

Where: Sharpshooters Gun Club and Range, 1345 Rutherford Road, Greenville, SC

Who: Dudley Brown, President of the National Assn. of Gun Rights, and Rep. Jonathon Hill, SC House District 8 (Anderson)

Rep. Jonathon Hill was elected to the South Carolina House District 8 in 2014, after challenging incumbent Republican Don Bowen. Before running for State House, Jonathon founded the Anderson TEA Party in 2009. He and his wife Amanda reside in Townville, South Carolina.

The National Association for Gun Rights is the nation's second largest pro-gun organization, with 4.5 million members and supporters nationwide.
